BlackBerry Bold 9900 is very much in line with its predecessors, such as the Bold 9780, which we reviewed in January and also the models of the Curve - Curve 3G 9300, when we were in August last year.
Blackberry Bold 9900 handset is larger and heavier than any of the above devices, but the measurement of 66 mm in width and 10.5 mm in thickness, depth 115 mm and weighs 130g. Bold 9780 and Curve 9300 3G are less than 6 mm in width and 6 mm less deep, and 8G and light 26g per piece. The Bold 9900 feels thinner than the previous two devices, however, about 3.5 mm.
Bold 9900 slightly increased width means there is little room for full QWERTY keyboard - 6mm may not seem much, but it makes little difference in terms of user friendliness. Buttons look great and, as usual, formed individually to feel included. The rows of the keys have a trademark on the BlackBerry Curve little one "- this is most evident at the top of the keyboard, instead of the bottom where the buttons are almost in a straight line.
Qualcomm MSM8655 processor 1.2 GHz with 768 MB of RAM and a generous 8 GB of internal memory coupled. This specification can be used as a reaction to the criticism of the past that RIM will not use high-end processors in these devices. You can expand the internal memory with microSD cards, but it is annoying that you remove the battery to access the slot.
(NFC) support is built into the Bold 9900, providing for a range of potential future uses — sadly there's nothing in place right now.
